I've never heard of Timbits. But which would you say and why?

I've only had donut holes so I can't speak about timbits but I have to imagine that donut holes are better. Because coffee shops shouldn't make donuts. Donut shops should.

    Timbits

And does American Tim Hortons sell timbits or 'donut holes'?

Kinda seems like Timbits and donut holes are like Kleenex and tissues. One is a brand and one is the actual product.

What they're trying to say is they think Canada can fry dough up better than America when we all know who takes the gold medal in fried foods.

Do you want to start a war with Canada, because that's how you start a war with Canada :D

We've said nothing but nice things about poutine!

I'm annoyed because at first I was joking around and I didn't care but now that Tim Hortons and timbits keep being insulted I feel deep-seated Canadian patriotism that I didn't know was there.

Donut holes are defined as a small ball-shaped doughnut.

Timbits are defined as the real word for stupid donut holes.

I re-read the question and I say Timbits because I don't know what they are called in other donut shops. I can only think of Country Style and Coffee Time besides Tim Hortons and they are few and far between and I haven't been in either one in years.
Tim Hortons are on practically every corner and at half the gas stations where I live.

Poutine is french fries with gravy and melted cheese or cheese curds.

Why not say French fries with gravy?

Gravy doesn't go with cheese. That seems counter productive.

    You need to try it.
There are poutine restaurants too that make all sorts of fancy poutines, but the basics is fries, cheese and gravy

“Timbits” sounds like some guy named Tim’s private parts. Are Timbits hairy and salty?

Sweet and savory is all the rage these days. Yay! I’ve never tasted Tim’s bits.

    Désolée. Trop de vin.

Cheese and gravy don't go together. It sounds bad. Like Rice Rice and Gravy.

I had no idea that Tim Hortons was such a big thing in Canada. They are fairly new around my home

We used to have a few different donut shops, now its hard to find one that isn't Tim Hortons and if you do they are kinda grungy and gross looking, you wouldn't want to drink or eat there.

Not that I like Tim Hortons...I prefer Starbucks and I don't even drink coffee.

Rumour has it Tim's does something to the coffee to make it extra addictive...

Tim Horton's is Dunkin Donut's identical Canadian twin

I did not know how patriotic I felt until I read this thread and saw people insulting timbits AND poutine.

Does the gravy have to be brown with poutine? Can it be white gravy?

I will take bite-sized fried-dough confections where ever and when ever I can get them.
