just curious? does the factor of how you eat make a difference?
as in if you eat up all your food quickly
vs eating slowly and chewing 30 times etc?

Why would it?
It is about the amount of calories you take in.1 -
Only indirectly, I would think, if eating too fast makes you eat too much, and you don't adjust how much you eat and don't stay below your calaorie goal. Besides, food tastes much better and is more satisfying if you let yourself enjoy the tastes and textures of your meal, in my opinion.3

Make a difference how?
I might eat less if I eat slower and give my body time to register fullness. I might enjoy the experience more as I slowly savor the flavors instead of shoving things in as fast as I can. I might experience more indigestion from eating quicker and not chewing my food.2 -

Eating slowly helps some people to keep to their calorie allowance as it makes them more mindful of how much they are eating and helps the brain to register when they are full.
However if you eat 300 calories of food it wont make any difference to the calorie content wether you eat fast or slow.4 -
In terms of making it easier for you to eat less, it might.
I find it helpful to eat only at meals, to try and pay attention to and appreciate what I am eating, to eat sitting down, and to slow down.
But yeah, if the calories are equal, how you eat it won't matter.1 -

I eat slow, I always have. Most people are done and I'll still have half my dish left. You can still get big eating slow though, I did. Doesn't matter how fast or slow you eat, just that your calories are within the right level.2

Thorough chewing, as in all the corn kernels, is part of more completely digesting the food. Decades ago doctors were advising people to chew slowly so they'd get bored of eating and quit before eating too much.0

Eat with chopsticks if you are that worried about it. You can't grab large bites and if you are not used to it, it takes you forever to finish your meal.1

Nope. Eating slowly and chewing a certain number of times was a fad diet that came in during Edwardian times. If it worked it would've stuck around and fewer people would be overweight instead of the idea cycling around every couple of decades.1

Well, I usually use a fork or my fingers depending on the food. I put it in my mouth, chew it and swallow it. Then dig back in and get another bite...
But really, do what works for you. There are sometimes I eat faster than others depending on how much time I have. I don't really see a difference in fullness or satiety. Although, after a while I get bored of eating, so that does help curb how much I eat.0 -
I eat the edges of my hamburger before eating the centre. Somehow it seems to taste better that way. Don't know that it helps with weight loss, but it certainly helps me feel more satisfied.
Calories are king. How, when, and what you eat is mainly relevant for personal preferences.0 -
