This is one of my Family's Miracles!
This is how I know that Miracles can happen!
My Grandbaby Harper was born at 23 weeks 1lb 2oz. She was not expected to even be alive, let alone thrive. This little Angel is the strongest person I know a true fighter! We almost lost her so many times, she survived heart surgery at 1 lb 3 oz, They said she'd most likely be blind, she isn't, they said she'd probably have Cerebral Palsy, She doesn't, they said she'd have learning disabilities, This little girl is the sharpest kid I know!
I am so proud of Harper as she has truly made my Faith grow stronger! She has a Heart of Gold and will always be my Hero!!!

After 11 months of many tests, it was determined she was a perfect candidate for an experimental procedure to fix one of them, a very large hole between the lower two chambers. The procedure would allow repair without opening the chest. We flew to St. Louis. Another round of tests the day before...again, "she's perfect for it."
Next morning, into surgery, after nearly an hour they came out and said they were starting. Half an hour later, out they come, and asked us to step into a room. They showed us on a monitor the pictures coming live from the operatory, and the hole had closed up almost in full overnight. Literally from dime sized to three tiny pin prick channels...almost no flow.
She still has the other three problems, but they work in concert, it seems, regulating each problem with another problem. You would never know she has trouble, save in winter when it's very cold and she stays outside too long - her lips go blue. As she develops and gets older, she may have surgeries to correct them, but her odds of survival are far higher as developed adult.

Man, it just kills me whenever a child suffers. I'm close to tears on a Sunday morning .............I'll save my stupid "miracle" for later. It's not really a miracle. More like karma. Time for coffee4

When my son was 8 weeks old he developed viral pneumonia and was hospitalized. He wasn't responding to the antibiotics, which we were told happens with viral pneumonia. After a couple of days the doctor brought in a specialists and we were told that if he didn't start getting better they would have to administer an iv through the soft spot in his skull. That was a last resort and they really hoped not to have to do that. It was obvious they were letting us know the prognosis didn't look good. We had a prayer chain going all over our small town. Within 24 hours he started getting better and has been very healthy since then. Two years later my son and I were involved a car accident when a trailer with concrete building blocks came unhinged and hit our car head-on and totalled it. We came out with only minor cuts and abrasions. Witnesses who saw the whole thing were amazed that we weren't injured or killed. I know this isn't as traumatic as the others mentioned above but miracles come in all sizes and happen every single minute!4

My ex neighbor decided to leave her 10 week old puppy to a shelter because the puppy seemed sick to her. She didn't even take her to a vet, she thought it wouldn't worth spending money for a dog she only spent a few weeks with. I took the puppy from her and took her to the vet, the vet said that she had parvo and that she needed to stay at the clinic for treatment. He also said that she may die. I was visiting her every day. On my fourth visit, the vet said that she was getting worse and it might even be her last day so I should be prepared. I went home, made a few calls, found a pet cemetery, put on some comfortable clothes because I was going to stay the night at the clinic with her. I also brought a blanket and a box with me so I could take her to the cemetery with them incase she died. I was back at the clinic an hour and a half later. When I was about to enter the clinic, my phone rang, it was the vet. I thought he was calling to give the bad news. I ran into the room where she was staying and there she was running around and nipping the vet's and the vet tech's pant legs! I adopted her. She will be 8 years old on December 12.

When my Mom was expecting the doctor never heard two heartbeats. Of course that was before sonograms. The day I was born my sister was delivered first and the doctor was taking care of her. The assisting nurse was massaging my mom's abdomen, when she told the doctor there was another baby and he told her there couldn't be because my mom wasn't having twins. The nurse insisted there was another baby and that he really should examine her. Well, I was delivered almost 10 minutes after my sister. I wasn't breathing, (even after the doctor turned me upside, tickled my toes, slapped my rear and whatever else). He told the nurse to get the oxygen, whatever that entailed, I don't know for sure, but anyway, while she was doing that, he tried mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and I started breathing. So I guess my birth was a miracle, or a double miracle, even!

It's stories like these that remind us how precious life is and how very fortunate we are to be Blessed with our health and this Amazing gift we call Life! We are Blessed with our Precious Children and Grandchildren, we are Blessed with our wonderful Friends and with our Fur Babies.... It reminds us that we are sometimes too focused on stuff that doesn't matter and the unimportant bullshytte that stresses us out and is nothing compared to the real life devastation and hardships that some children and families sometimes have to endure! No matter if we have bad days once in awhile let us remember how Blessed we really are my Darlings... Life is Good!!!
