25 Pounds in month and 3 days....

Just thought I'd share a little. 25 pds lost in month or so on Keto. Man this is hard not eating alot of carbs all week and then to watch what i eat on weekend is crazy, but im doing it. haha any help would go a long way. Got until may 1 to get under 230, hope i can do it and kept some form of strength as well. thanks for listening...... matt

    I'll just shoot from the hip here. Losing that much weight that fast would concern me in that, what is being burned up, fat, or lean muscle? All I've read points toward "slower" weightloss being healthier. Now I may be totally wrong in my concern but I know nothing of this Keto. I tried to find something but all I could find was low-carbs. And if this Keto can take off 25 lbs that fast and still be healthy, lean and strong, why am I wasting my time losing a lb a week??

    Hope no one takes offense, inquiring minds want to know though??

    What diet are you on, is it Atkins or something and what is KETO?
  • Not to be the downer here but I was on that diet 2 years ago and lost 40 pounds in 2 months and it is not good for your body. I ended up passing out in my kitchen because I had no sugar in my body. I ended up gaining all lthe weight back too. Just as soon as I started eating bread again.
  • This time I am going to do it properly and healthy. I want the weight loss to stay off. I have been on many diets throughout the years, and the pro's are right that you have to make a complete change in your lifestyle and eating habits. The only way I see for me anymore is to workout and watch what I eat. Chocolate and fatty foods can no longer consume my daily diet. I have ( I think) figured out how to do it the right way. I have joined a gym one week ago and am watching what I eat on here. I hope it works. Good Luck to all!!!!

    Yes this diet is a somewhat form of adkins, It allows you 20-50 grams of carbs a day. All I eat is eggs, chicken, beef, sausage, green beans, and alot of salad. I take in 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per body weight and also take a muti vit, and some omega 3 fish oil. No bread, pasta, try and keep my sugar intake to the coffee in the morning and no candy or cookies (my fav). Just alittle info....... thnaks for listening
