Does anyone else gain a few pounds or a kg when using panadol/nurofen?
I've had wisdom tooth complications and my weight has spiked since I've been using these pain killers!

Not familiar with the drug but a spike isn't going to be fat. If you're staying within your calories it will correct when you're off the meds.2

Neither of those drugs will cause weight gain. More like you are unwell with inflammation +/- infection both of which cause water to be retained as part of the process of healing.1

Yeah I thought it might be water retention actually!0

Yeah just water retention. I think ibuprofen is one that in and of itself can cause some retention aside from the what you may be retaining for repair and healing.1

Yep, ibuprofen can cause fluid retention, it will come off1

I'm getting serious constipation with codeine which is causing constipation.
Never noticed it with Ibuprofen.0 -

Oh--I just remembered your thread... I hope you've had some relief since you last updated!1 -
Thanks everyone who has posted about this! My measurements have been almost exactly the same, it's just my weight that has gone up!0
