There is a database entry for UK Fish and Chip Shop - Chips. 1 Regular portion:

    Calories 655
    Total Fat 38 g
    Total Carbs 45 g
    Dietary Fiber 5 g
    Sugars 14 g
    Protein 8 g

You can then add the cheese. 100g of cheddar would be about:

    Calories 403
    Total Fat 33 g
    Saturated 21 g
    Polyunsaturated 1 g
    Monounsaturated 9 g
    Sodium 621 mg
    Potassium 98 mg
    Total Carbs 1 g
    Sugars 1 g
    Protein 25 g

For me 1 portion (it the size is correct) would leave me with 780Kcal left for the day which is not a lot. You might find the more you get into your lifestyle change the less likely you will want you chips n cheese. I used to love pizza and steak pies but I don't touch them now. When I am at my target weight I might have one or the other once in a blue moon.

How accurate the database is with you local Indian's I couldn't say. Personally I would stay away from the saturated and trans fats no matter how good they taste, it's your choice though.
  • I thought you were talking about nacho's. Hmmmm

Tuffjourney, it would depend what side of the pond you are. Nacho's would be a better option.
