    I don't use the app, but I actually have been tracking this myself, inspired by the Eowyn Challenge that started this all several years ago. I track all my intentional walking via MapMyFitness and check my "lifetime stats" at the end of each month.

    I took the bulletin board in my office, bought a "cloth" map of Middle Earth (from a chinese seller, the quality is not so hot, but it's usable) and I covered the entire cork area of the board with the map, so I can still use the bulletin board. I use pins to track every 25 miles that I walk.

    So far I'm right around 825-ish miles since I started tracking ~2 years ago, which means I'm in Moria - the Watcher in the Deep is behind me, but I'm coming up on the Balrog soon.
