For a few days I felt really good about eating healthy. I was eating smaller portions, more fruits and veg, and didnt even want candy or pizza or anything like that. It was like a game to make sure that I got close to the recommended amount of protien, fiber, and calcium without going over on calories. but now, only 20 days in, I have had 3 days in a row where I ate take out, and not even good take out. It didnt even taste good either. I dont know why I did it. Habit I guess., They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit but I only made it 17 days with my better eating.

Three not so great days out of 20 isn't bad! Just turn it around and have a really good day tomorrow. Take control back!0

I'm in the same situation. I'm day 25 or something now and this last week, I've been eating just crap food. I'm still under my calories, but I'm not eating healthy at all. Today, I decided to change it a little - got back to eating some fruits and veggies I like. Start small and start again. It's never too late to start forming a habit over0

i understand what you mean...I;'ve been eating like crud for almost a week, and i can't stop myself...
I guess it's imprtnat to remember that you;ve suceeded for 17 days!!! Imagine if you stopped now and in several months tried again to lose weight, vs keeping up since now and in a few months, looking amazing!! DON"T GIVE UP! ))0 -
Just remember that when you fall down, you just get back up again and keep going. Don't dwell on the three days you ate bad, just look at the 20 days you did GREAT! AND, you learned now that the bad foods don't even taste as good because your body is already getting used to the good stuff. That's a great accomplishment! Just get back to the good habits and keep moving on. You can do it!!!0

Tomorrow is a new day. You can start your 21 days again tomorrow and this time you will probably stick with it since you feel so horrible about not sticking with it before.
I am not so sure about that 21 day habit thing though, I have been dieting since January 6th and more often than not it is a struggle to eat good. I have lost 53 pounds and through trial and error, I have found out that I can stick to my diet better if I allow myself to be bad on occasion, that way I don't feel like I am losing out on anything.
If nothing else, 17 days is longer than many people achieve; give yourself credit for that. You can do this!!0 -
That's not to terrible just get back on track. Break the cycle and force yourself to stay on it and just keep thinking of the great results you will get!!! I have a before picture and a goal picture that I keep on the fridge to keep me out of it when I want something that is not on my plan and it works for me. Maybe find a goal picture and keep it handy and just look at it when you get the urge to eat something bad. You can do it0
