satisfying / filling snack ideas?

I like popcorn, but I am trying to find other filling snacks with lower calories. I am finding that I am good until about 3pm, but then those few hours until dinner are painful. I either spend them thinking about food, or eating and eating until dinner. What are your favorite snacks? Help me not fill 3 hours with munchies...

    crackers and cheese is my all time fave. yogurt's good too, especially with some fresh fruit mixed in.

    My favorite snack is an apple cored and sliced dipped in almond butter. YUM.

    at the moment i am eating a frigo cheese head light cheese stick, apple slices and a few grapes. sometimes i add peanut butter to my snack if i know i have extra calories. other days i take out the cheese.

    other days i have a few almonds (serving size, 26) a banana.

    i had a curves bar and a banana one day last week.

    yogurt.

    i absolutly have to have a snack between 3-330. i eat slow and really enjoy that its healthy. i am not a big popcorn fan myself, so i stick to stuff i like.

    better go log these goodies!
  • snack on raw veggies! mix it up, try new things...

    fresh green beans
    carrot
    celery
    cucumber
    green pepper (or red or yellow)
    snow peas

    sweet tooth...try...
    fresh pineapple
    pear
    plum
    kiwi

    i even snack on pickles sometimes!
    dill when i want tart and bread and butter pickles for sweetness

  • that time is so hard! I just want to eat and east some days between 4 and 6.

    i measure out servingss of things like pea pods, carrot straws, ffresh green beans, and celery.
    1/4 cup fat free plain togurt (greek usually) 1 tsp mustard, garlic powder, and a dash of hot sauce. i use that to dip my veggies in. sometimes i just have the veggies, no dip. depends on my mood

    laughing cow with trisquits
    granola bar (kashi is my favorite. high in protein and fiber to fill you up).
    peanuts (higher in calories but very filling)
    fruitabu fruit rolls
    100 calorie packs of just about anything
    string cheese and an apple
  • Pickles! I forget about those tasty little things. Great idea. And also the apples and PB/almond butter. Thanks...keep the ideas coming. I seem to get in a rut so easily and get bored...and then eat more.:ohwell:
