I'm trying to calculate my real TDEE based on my progress thus far. I've lost 13.4 lbs in 84 days. What rate of loss is this, with regards to deficit? In other words how many calories would I need to add for a rough maintance? The numbers all confuse me... thanks in advance!!

I'm not a mathy person, so I calculated my TDEE with this handy website: http://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/

I also have a weight-trending app on my phone (Libra for Android) that actually tells you your approximate deficit based on your daily weigh-ins, which is a pretty cool feature.

MATHS! Hopefully someone checks my work! So, if it takes a deficit of 3500 calories to lose a pound, and you've lost 13.4 lbs, then you've managed a total deficit of 46900. That divided by 84 days is 558, so add 558 to whatever you're eating right now and you've got maintenance.

ETA: This is assuming that all that you've lost is fat, of course, not water. I'd disregard your first 4-6 weeks of data if you saw a big spike at the beginning.

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. I didn't see a but spike at the beginning really but will be cautious when adding towards maintenance.

Your math is right. I did it the opposite way -- the amount lost per day -- but got the same 558.
