Not only should we focus on upcoming goals for 2018, but let's not forget how to stay focused on today.
This advice can be followed by anyone that's willing to accept the idea that when it comes to fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, it all comes down to the mindset.
So below are a few main principles to consider in efforts to reach your current, and future goals!
*3 Principles For Your Fitness Goals*
1. Do not expect rapid results, but only gradual progress.
- When it comes to progress, especially if you are just getting into the fitness realm, do not expect results to happen over night.
-First understand that getting into shape, or staying that way for that matter is a process in itself.
-For some, getting out of shape is the easy part, but getting back into it-now that’s a process.
-When you approach your fitness journey by accepting that change doesn’t happen over night, then the progress will come without you even noticing!
2. Be willing to put in the work, and be prepared to bring the motivation along the way.
-One cannot simply state that they want to change their body, get into shape, and get results without putting a bit of work.
-Understand that motivation is a key factor in doing something that you know may be hard mentally, but that also comes with results if the have the mindset to go along with it.
-Remember that motivation goes a long way, and that if you can't motivate yourself, then no one’s going to do it for you. It starts with you!
3. Have the notion that every result, and every outcome, is a direct reflection of the efforts devoted.
-If you put forth minimal effort, then you’ll get minimal results.
-If you put in maximum efforts, then the results will speak for themselves.
-Simply stated; you get out what you put in!

Sounds like something out of a magazine that might be found at the supermarket checkout...
Penny psychology...1 -
It's always interesting to me when someone comes on the site and in their first couple of posts starts handing out generic advice.
It smacks of selling something, albeit not very well. I smell "attraction marketing".3 -
I appreciate the feed back, but its not attraction marketing, nor is it from a magazine. Can a person simply not post something that most people over think. I mean, if a person expresses what others wont, and can do it in a sophisticated fasion, why must it be considered marketing or a piece from a magazine?? In other words, what exactly would the post be trying to attract?? Maybe, those who could use the info4

Always good advice, thanks for the post1

Motivation doesn't last long for most people. I think the second point would work better if you said to apply the motivation you have in the beginning towards building sustainable habits. Motivation gets you going, discipline keeps you on track.2
