Hello fellow MFP's....:o)
OK I'm looking for advice........I've lost 14 kilos (30lbs).....6 kilos (13lbs) of those on MFP....I got serious 3 months ago and set myself a 12 week challenge, to eat only "Clean" food, no alcohol, upped the gym, mixture of cardio and strength training plus a Spinning class here and there, and I'm currently training for a half marathon at the end of this month....I'm only 5ft 1' (short! but I make up for it with heels)...
I'm not at my goal weight yet, I want to lose probably another 10lbs.....I'm doing it the right way, slow and healthy, I've started a second challenge 3 weeks ago, still no alcohol, still eating clean but those are just a normal part of my life again...I have never felt so healthy eating this way!!! I am a food addict so this has helped me immensely to beat the binge sessions also....but I'm just not feeling the love with this challenge, I think maybe because I haven't been specific with what I'm actually doing with my exercise each day...
What I'm looking for is some advice on what I should be doing to get the actual body I want, my goal body I suppose....I have read so much different information on the internet, on MFP etc...I'm wondering if anyone thinks it's a good idea for me to find somewhere that can do me up a proper set programme that can help me achieve this....I'm not afraid of hard work and I'm willing to put in the hours plus I'm eating pretty well now and have upped my protein also...I definately have definition in my body now but of course the fat that is still covering it is not allowing me to see it....I want a hard flat stomach and a toned healthy body...I don't want the skinny model look.....I do belong to a gym but I don't want a programme from them because it isn't the type of gym that is totally passionate and hip if you know what I mean....it's fine for what I want for my own workouts but I've seen some of the trainers etc and it's not really what I'm looking for....my diary is open for viewing if anyone has any suggestions...also this week I'm zigzagging....I normally eat 1200 cals a day without this and I try not to eat back my calories as when I was I wasn't losing....all very confusing!!!
Anyway, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated...:o)

i have just started zumba classes and i think there fab, a good workout burning about 350 cals for 1 hour and i started the 30 day shred a week ago, that is a great workout, i can see a difference in my muscles already. I also use the wii 'your shape' which is a good workout also, good luck.x0

if you want a challenge, google '100 push up challenge'
i am currently on week 4 of the push ups and the 200 sit up challenge. each is a 6 week programme that you do 3 times a week, so i usually go for a 20-25 min run and then do my press ups and sit ups.0 -
zumba is great. if ur looking to tone ur mid section i suggest windsor pilates. they work wonders on ur belly and back. before i got preggo i was doing them 4 times a week and i looked great. it tones all the right muscles. i only have liked the windsor ones so far though bc she pushes harder then anyone else.0

If you have a gym that does Crossfit I can't tell you how much I recommend it. It makes such a drastic change in my overall tone when I keep up with their work outs.
On a less pricey variation, check out the circuit workouts posted by SELF magazine (they upload them for free online). They have started adapting crossfit type principles to at home workout and are pretty effective at getting the whole body toned up.0 -
you don't have to put in hours of fitness. I suspect you would *enjoy* the routines on bodyrock.tv. they have various HIIT routines that run between 12 and 30 minutes. Zuzana knows what she is doing and accessing the routines is free.0

Hey Sloane!
I think you should check out beachbody.com, they have a lot of awsome workouts that are very intense and you get great results. Have you ever heard of P90X? That is a great one, right now I"m going Chalean Extreme and Turbo Fire Hybrid. I love the BB workouts!
Something to think about!
I think your doing great though, just need to come up with something new for you to do so you feel more challenged!!!! Keep up the great work!0
