Plan to "cheat" so it's not cheating...

My wife and I have been using this website for 3 weeks now we've both had some decent progress, 13 pounds for me 11 or 12 for her.

Anyhow, we decided it was time for treat but, don't want to "cheat" per say. We have planned our calorie intake and workout around having pizza tonight. We found Domino's Thin Crust Cheese pizza is only 330 Calories and 660mg Sodium, 18g Fat, 40mg Cholesterol, 3g Diatary Fiber and a whopping 14g of Protein even, for 1/4 of a medium pizza or pie (Whichever term you prefer). Technically, with proper planning, we can each eat half of the pizza guilt free!

Just wanted to share. So if you feel a "Cheat" day coming on, Plan your day around it and it won't be cheating.

Why not make a healthier version at home. Something with less sodium? Domino's will puff you up like mad.

Anywho, I used to do the Domino's pizza thing with the family and I would get what you are ordering...here's the best tip I can give you Tell them not to cut it or cut it in regular pizza slices. They cut it in awkward shaped squares that are hard to measure. I know you are planning to eat half, but you may not want it. Plus if you've not been eating lots of fat for the past 3 weeks, you might want to prepare for the ....um....flaming red hots...

Enjoy yourself and congratulations to you and your wife.

I've have been wanting a McDonalds Rolo (snack size) McFlurry for about a week now! However it's always at night which is also when i do my workout. SOOOO, I tell myself ok, after the workout you can go get a McFlurry. Then by the time my workout is over with I just dont want it. One because I dont want ice cream on my stomach I just want water! and two I cannot bring myself to defeat all the work I just did. :) I will get my Flurry one day soon though lol

I'm having chicken nuggets today, but I'm also eating fruit, veggies, and having a serious workout when I get home. All in moderation. :)

Oh, yeah we've already discussed that funky square cut and really dislike it... as for the home version we do that too but sometimes you just have to splurge... And yeah I'm prepared for any um "consequences"

It's a good approach, it makes the whole process sustainable as a lifestyle not just a diet. I live in Italy - try NOT having a pizza at least once every weekend here! Planning exercise and other meals to make way for an evening at the pizzeria or Sunday lunch with the in-laws has been working for me.
Congrats on a great start, enjoy your treat!

I totally agree. We all need some treats in life. I eat 'bad' things sometimes but I make up for it exercise wise. I'm not undoing all the damage.

I think life is wayyyyy too short to crave something that badly and not have a small bit of it.

You should make personal pita pizzas with each other. My wife and I do that every once in a while. You get to enjoy making the food together plus you can both make your own. Then you can share and decide whose is better. Mine is always better of course though!

We do make home made pizza as well. However, the point of this post is to show people that you can still "Splurge" on occasion and not actually cheat.

Walmart has a low cal, fairly low in sodium pizza crust mix that my wife and I make BBQ and Ground Turkey/Chicken Pizza. Although it's almost as many calories as half of domino's pizza..... it's in my food diary for dinner on July 24th actually. Probelm is it's only 2 calories less and actually a little more sodium lol.
