How do you keep your Sugar under limit?

Two days ago I started tracking my sugar intake and realized I go over my sugar every single day even when I don't use all my calories. I rarely eat chocolate or desserts. What have you done to curb sugar? I refuse to give up fruits as they are from nature and I think natural is way better than processed foods.

If your sugar intake is primary from fruits and vegetables, then I would not worry about it too much. It is the refined sugars added to foods you need to worry about.0

How much fruit are you eating? even with natural sugars your body will store them as fat if they can't be used for fuel in a timely fashion. Personally I try to eat no more than 2 servings of fruit per day.0

I eat no tropical fruits (oranges, tangerines, papaya, etc.), no pasta, no starchy vegetables, and no white bread (and very little whole wheat bread--almost all of it has sugar in it). I eat meats, cheeses, lots of vegetables, and some low carb fruits (berries and melon).0

I would agree the one thing that does bother me about MFP is it doesn't differentiate between natural sugars and refined sugars it lumps them all together so if your looking at all the things you eat and they have low sugar, and your eating a lot of fruits and veggies then prolly most of your sugars are from natural sources which is way good!0 -
Check out the SOS Diet book - Stop Only Sugar. Doc recommends no more than 20g per day, and lists the foods that are good and those that are bad. Lots of "hidden" sugars in places like fruit juice, even yogurt that you'd normally think is safe. Milk too - unfortunately - because I love milk. Just balance things out.0

I'm over every day... all it takes is 2 fruits and a yogurt to be over. As said before, don't worry too much unless all your sugar is from processed sugar.0
