Hello everyone; i'm a new member in MFP and i'm starving to loose fat in the shortest period of time. 2 years ago, i had a perfect body with a flat stomach and perfect hips and legs, but recently everything changed. i put lots of fats and my belly looks like one of a pregnant woman. The irony is that i'm not married or even old. i'm just 20 years old .. i really want to change this but i know that i lack any sense of perseverance. I just want to know if any one of you had the same problem and succeeded in achieving his goal of fat loss & getting a perfect body, and how much effort & energy did it take. i really need your answers because i want someone to motivate me and ensure me that i will reach my goal if i work hard for it .. thank you in advance and good luck for all of you

The very first thing you will absolutely need to change is the notion that this could be any sort of quick fix. Losing weight and maintaining that body you would like to achieve takes time... and effort, every single day. I started my weight loss journey at the tail end of 2014, hiding in the machine part of the gym or living on the elliptical at a pace that I was comfortable with. As time went on I gained more confidence to go on in there (weight room) with the 'big dogs', as I affectionately call the group of people who eventually became very close friends and huge motivators. Teaching me how to lift, eat, etc. I am down 50lbs and have recomped my body, but every single day I have to make time for the gym (at 4 in the morning most days) and say no to a lot of the office goodies we cater in our office every single day. It's really hard, but the time will pass either way. You can message me any questions and I will try my best to help you. There are a lot of knowledgeable, nice people on here that would be happy to help you I am sure. Good luck to you!7

Achieving and maintaining a body you want takes a lifetime of commitment to training and diet. It is not achieved by starving yourself - please don't do this. Set a sensible calorie goal for a reasonable rate of loss, accurately log everything you eat and drink, incorporate exercise (including weight/resistance training).
Commit to your goal and know that you are doing something every day to get closer to it.3 -
that's absolutely right ! it's not a matter of diet but rather a complete change in lifestyle & eating habits. thank you for your motivating thought0
