Presents for Non-Humans

So.. if you're into gift giving, we give family members and maybe close friends gifts, but how many of you give gifts to your animal companions? If you do, what gift do you give? How long do you spend picking out a gift for say.. your cat? Do you wrap it? Do you unwrap it for them? Do you dress up your animal companions for the holiday? Are there traditions relating to said non-human family member?
Also, you may post adorable photos of animals in holiday gear or that are "festive" or funny images relating to animals and this time of year.

This should help explain that I do buy and wrap my non-human's presents for Christmas.
I buy all sorts of things, bones, stuffed toys (they must squeak), etc. My cats don't care, but they do get something as well.

The greatest gift you can give your pet is your time and attention.4

We usually just give them a food treat or a new toy. Don't really dress them up or wrap their gifts.1

So cute but seems like it is hard to satisfy him0 -
No gifts under the tree though, she'd destroy all in seconds before i could take a photo

Denver enjoys chasing a laser pen, he has 1 of those already so I'l probably just play with him with that on Xmas, and Marley likes nothing more than cuddling up to suckle on a fleece top so I'l maybe indulge her with that lol
Other than that I will buy them some fancy gourmet cat food and serve them up a nice plate of that, that's basically their treat at Xmas.
Mine seem to appreciate the boxes things come in and the wrapping paper thrown on the floor for a cat nap more than actual gifts.kakaovanilya wrote: »

Presents under our tree are actually what's keeping the cats from dicking with it, lol. We have one real and one fake tree and Galaxy has already gone and knocked off all the ornaments she could reach on the tree with no presents, but is perplexed by how to bat away all the ornaments on the present laden tree as well as how to climb it.

I don't give presents to animals. I get them toys as needed.

My corgi loves these hedgehog toys:
She's a toy ripper, and even though these ones are "built tough", after a few good months with our corg, she destroys them.
We got her another one for Christmas this year and had it stashed away in a bag in a room upstairs. Well, wouldn't you know it, she marches down the stairs triumphantly with her new Christmas toy (still in its package) in her mouth.
She was very disappointed when we took it away.1 -
I went to two stores to find the right pajamas for my mutt. He also has a treat jar wrapped under the tree full of treats (he's pretty new to the family so I didn't have one and wanted to get one anyway...) and he has a couple of toys wrapped up in his stocking.0

My small dog loves rawhide toys but she destroys the small ones in seconds so each christmas I get her a giant braided one made for a dog much larger than her but she will carry it around the house for months.0

I said I wasn't going to buy any cat toys this year, clearly I'm liar because I bought some even though their toy basket is full! I'm a pushover apparently.

My dogs get new toys, and the cat will probably ge something. The dogs enjoy destroying toys, the cat likes catnip on a scratcher
