Well this was a email from when i younger i loved cherrys and this app had a username set while creating that i didn't bother changing2 -

Yes snatch is not a word you use in polite society in US terms but UK who knows?
Actually the last time I heard that word was in a back of a limo with 8 drunk females coming from a bachelorette party.....many years ago

Guys, a snatched waistline means a tight small waist. The term is being used a LOT in the US these days not just the UK. It’s simply not widespread and common yet because it’s mostly being used in the fitness community. She’s not talking about the “naughty” version of the word.7

The only time I ever hear the term wasp waist being used is in corset training. There is a specific type of corset (conical) that gives your body a very wasp like shape. This is opposed to the more common style of corset that gives you an hourglass shape.
I could totally see people using wasp waist to mean small waist in a general way though.1 -
"Wasp waisted" is a very old term, going back to the 1800s, at least. It hadn't been used much in recent decades, because, until recently, corsets had long been out of style.
"Snatch" is also a slang synonym for female genitalia, also possibly not very current.
When people don't share the same meanings for words, communication doesn't happen.

In its current modern definition, the above IS what it means. I’m not talking about the 1800’s, but now. The Kardashian’s were huge on selling waist snatchers, which is anti-fitness. So, whether one understands the old world use of the word or even the modern use of the word, it’s still not something we should be doing.
And OP, not trying to jump on you, I apologize if it feels that way. But I do believe in tough love and honesty, and I know you’re a smart adult that can choose to communicate in a way that all people will be able to connect with. I would say the same thing to my friends or family, just trying to help you out.5 -
