Lifting weights with a calorie defect

Hello, I'm fairly obese and I was wondering, would lifting weights with a calorie defect help me lose my body fat?
I plan on doing a diet that consists of low carbs, high protein & fat, intermittent fasting, cardiovascular exercise every monday & thursday and strength training.

Sounds an excellent plan
Weigh and log everything you consume. This will provide excellent data later on to calculate exactly your calories burnt, weight lost and therefore your BMR and TDEE
Be accurate and consistent3 -
It will not necessarily help you lose the body fat--diet will do that. As long as you are consistently in a deficit you will lose fat with/without lifting. It will help increase your output but is not necessary to lose weight. It will, however, help you to preserve the lean body mass you already have, which is important. If you lose enough that you feel comfortable eating at maintenance or slight surplus, you can then build muscle to further improve your shape if you want to...MFP has forums for those stages of diet too.4

The calorie deficit is what causes the weight loss.
Strength training to help retain muscle. Cardio for health.
Your plan sounds fine. Are you following a set programme when you lift?3 -

Yup. I have my own routine which works my upper body every Saturday / Tuesday and lower body every Sunday / Wednesday.0 -
