So since I have started my weight loss journey, I've been using the Wii fit Balance
Board as my "scale" and thought it was quite accurate. However, we just bought a
Nice Taylor scale and it says I am 6 pounds heavier than I thought =[ what's going on?

Is the balance board on carpet? What time are you weighing yourself? For the most accurate weigh-ins you shouls stick to one scale, and do it in the mornings after you have gone to the bathroom and as close to naked and as you want to get.0

Don't get me started on my wii fit weight!!! I can weigh up to 20 pounds heavier/lighter depending on its mood, always in the same place never moved... it is sooo inacurate!!0

Yes it's on the carpet and I always weigh myself mornings basically naked.. I guess it not being on a hard floor affects the accuracy?0 -
I don't think the Wii fit is accurate. Is there anyway to recalibrate it?0

THROW OUT THAT SCALE if it discourages you! You should judge your weight loss by how your clothes fit!0

Did you take your starting weight with the wii board as well?0

Yes I did..0 -
When we first got the wii fit a couple of years ago I stepped on and thought I lost a lot of weight from the last time I weighed myself. Turns out, I hadn't added the additional feet thingies (lol, I so do not know what they are called). When I added them my weight had gone up. If it's on carpet you should add them on there to make your weight more accurate. However, ever since I did that, I've noticed my weight has been pretty consistent with whatever other scale I'm on. I noticed it a lot when I was pregnant with my daighter (she's 2 now). I would weigh myself on my wii fit and then when I got to the dr's it''d be the same. Sorry you are having problems with it.0

No I dont think so, it's the software that measures the weight so I'm not sire0 -

Thanks, glad I'm not alone haha0 -
Then you still have lost the same amount of weight, your starting weight was just off. All your hard work is still paying off and you are doing so awesome! I am proud of you! I would use the scale going forward, adjust your starting weight and use this a fuel to kick serious butt this week, you can do it!! =D0

I don't own a Wii but I would suggest using the scale. I'm sure that it is discouraging to you for the increase, however, if you want to make this lifestyle journey accurate you want a reliable source. And if you went up slightly, it's just another goal that I know you can accomplish!!!0

WHEN I GO TO MY DAUGHTERS FOR TWO WEEKS... I WRITE MY WEIGHT DOWN BEFORE I LEAVE HOME... WHEN I GET TO HER HOUSE I WEIGH IN & WRITE IT DOWN... HER SCALES SAY I AM TWO - THREE POUNDS LIGHTER... SO I KEEP TRACK OF WHAT I AM WEIGHING THERE.... & WHEN I GET HOME I WEIGH IN & THEN SUBTRACT THE POUNDS LOST FROM MY SCALE...0
