Do people tend to forgive?

Discuss. Are you a forgiver? What could you forgive? And what could you not forgive? Are people in general forgivers or does it just depend?

Has anyone ever not forgiven you?

Oh interesting. Can you give me an example of each?

Forget an important date, not maliciously, but whoops you forgot. Forgive.

Break my trust, be maliciously hurtful. Not forgive.

I’ve been forgiven much. Mercy and forgiveness are very precious attributes. A repentant attitude is typically met by forgiveness has been my finding.

I'm a forgiver of mostly eveything because I'm human and I also make mistakes. But mostly I do it for me, not them.

I try to forgive, because “anger eats away at your soul”✨

I usually just process the initual hurt or anger, then write the person off as dead to me, mourn the loss, the could haves, would haves, wishes, etc. Then I'm like awesome, 1 less a-hole to bother me.

What if someone took your son to a strip bar? Would you forgive?

Well, I don't have a son and I certainly don't find strip clubs to be an end of the world situation.

I forgive easy but when I deside not to...then nothing can change it.

I can’t even remember the things I like about people, I’m definitely not hanging on to things I don’t like. I have precious little memory to spare.

Accurate like Charlie Chaplin going in and out doors.

I don't "forgive" per say...I tend to "get over stuff." Forgive (to me) implies that what happened was "ok."

I definitely don't forget if someone breaks my trust.

I can usually forgive. Some things take a little longer than others.

Rarely forget. Doesn't mean I can't have a relationship with that person, but it might affect a decision regarding that person.

I think people "forgive" when they just don't care and refuse to forgive when they want you to care.

That sums it up perfectly for me!

I always forgive. Forgetting and not letting it get to me is harder.

Some things I can forgive, but not all things are forgivable. I can forget though, which is the beautiful thing. Forget and move on. Much better that way.
