Hi all,

I'm not a breakfast eater but I really want to lose the weight and I know it is important not to skip breakfast. Problem is I have to leave my house at half six and my morning routine does not allow for anymore than maybe ten spare minutes at a push.

Ideally I'd love food I can eat on route to work or meals that are prepped night before etc that I can eat in the office. I do have a microwave at work for example. My partner is allergic to nuts so I need to avoid those like the plague but otherwise I'm willing to try any dishes! Thanks for your help xx

Breakfast isn't important unless it's important to you for medical or energy reasons. A lot of people lose weight very successfully skipping breakfast and if that's the way you eat naturally it might be worth sticking with it.

That said, some of my go-to breakfasts:
    Just coffee
    Greek yogurt
Mini egg frittatas (I make a batch on the weekends and pop them in the microwave in the morning)
    Overnight oats
Steel cut oats with fruit & protein powder
Bagel thin with whipped cream cheese and lox
    Mashed avocado on toast
Blueberry pancakes (I eat mine with Greek yogurt instead of syrup)
    Scrambled eggs & veggies
    Leftovers from yesterday
    Eggs on toast
Fried egg on a sandwich slim with cheese
Protein shake with fruit, yogurt, & protein powder
Fried egg on a multigrain waffle
Fried egg and hummus on a toasted sandwich thin

Make hard cooked eggs Sunday night for the week. Grab one for the commute. Homemade muffins. (So you can control what's in them). Prepackaged oatmeal. Make them ahead yourself so you can control what sugar, fruit, etc you put in them. If you don't like typical breakfast foods, a sandwich, containers of veggies, fruits.

I agree with the previous posters. Not hungry, don't eat. If you do get hungry some mornings some easy ideas are Greek yogurt, hardboiled egg, toast or toasted English muffin with peanut butter/honey, oatmeal cups (individual ones are super easy), protein bar or a smoothie. I make a smoothie with cold coffee, frozen banana, ice and vanilla protein powder that's actually tasty.

I am a breakfast eater, and also have a tight morning routine. I prep a whole week of jars on the weekend. The base is oats, protein powder, and water. From there, I mix it up for variety. Sometimes it's yogurt, fruit, pumpkin puree, PB2, chocolate, etc. Each morning I grab one, shake it, and eat it on the way to work or once I get there. But I agree with above, don't force yourself to eat a meal if you aren't hungry. We don't all come from the same mold.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!!
I do not really eat breakfast but find myself sometimes snacking before lunch so I'll try to make up some breakfast bits to take with me to eat instead of buying a very unhealthy chocolate bar or pastry from the sandwich lady.

The fruit in a tub option is really useful actually.

I hear people say breakfast is important but I don't feel too hungry straight away and have limited time. I won't waste my time force feeding myself food at half six! X
