So I work in an office, and generally I don't have much of an issue with staying on track. I stay away from the quarter machines of candy, I don't use the vending machines for soda, I stay away from the bags of chips vending machine... Its all good usually.

Yesterday we had two customers come by work and dropped off goodies. One customer brought 2 dozen of very fresh, delicious smelling donuts at around 9am.

At about 1:30pm another customer brings in two large, fresh, delicious pizzas from the great pizza place around the corner.

And you know what? I DIDN'T HAVE ANY!!! Normally I would at least have one piece of each, but I stood my ground and didn't have one bite. (except for the small piece of pineapple off of one of the pieces I bought home for the husband)

I feel very proud of myself!

Good for you. I do not DISallow myself anything because I know what that breeds... contempt for my diet... and I don't want this to be a diet. I want this to be a change in my life. A change in how I think about food. A change in how I taste, chew, savor and swallow the food I love. I still want to experience the loveliness that is excellently prepared, excellently flavored foods. I still want to be able to savor, even salivate over, the foods I'm about to enjoy... I just don't want to Over Do It.

I love pizza, (even though I haven't been able to have GREAT pizza in about 15 years since I moved to Pennsylvania from New Jersey)... but your hopes and aspirations change and even Good pizza is better than no pizza some days.

I made a decision that I wanted to have at least 2 whole slices of white pie... garlic and olive oil with ricotta and mozzarella topped with tomatoes! YUM!!

But I also made the decision that I will wait until after I reached 30 pounds down!

    Yes, this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pizza here I come!

Great job! I think that's the most important lesson we all need to learn. What are our weaknesses, how do we control them and how do we stay in a mode of moderation? :)

Great work - I too have avoided donuts for 2 days now sitting in my office. Boss brought them in yesterday - heck, I don't know that anybody has had any, most important - I HAVE NOT!

    Great Motivation and committment.

Nice job! I am particularly impressed that you had some in your possession to take home for your husband and still didn't eat any. That is some major will power!
