Late night eating!

Has anyone got any tips about late night eating?
I'm fine through out the day and set myself till 7pm to eat my meals, then after 7 I don't eat till the next day.
As soon as it hits 7 or after 7, my body just craves food. I sometime stop my self form eating, but other times it's feel unstoppable.
Has anyone got any advise?

Why not just leave yourself some calories to eat after 7pm?3

There is no detrimental effect whatsoever in terms of weight loss unless you are eating more than you burn. If you have calories left, no issue.2

Have you tried just eating more food after 7 and less food earlier in the day?1

MFP is set up for daily calories for this reason. There is no need for specific times for anything. You will read people that have success find it on their on time clock. If you are hungrier late, than prepare for that and save room.
Don't eat all your calories before 7 and set yourself up for failure.0 -
7 isn't late night.
Have you eaten enough (hit your calorie target) by 7?
Does your personal, work, family, social schedule fit in with stopping eating at 7, or is that when everybody else around you eat?2 -
What everyone else said.
My only other tip is don't eat after you've fallen asleep. You might choke and you'd miss out on how good the food tastes anyway.4 -
You don't have to stop eating at 7. I eat some snacky foods while watching TV at night, but I make sure I don't exceed my calories for the day. I still lose weight. It sounds to me that as soon as 7:00 pm hits, you feel deprived and rebel against this random rule. Cut yourself some slack, and enjoy your food whenever you feel like it.1

Calories can't tell time. As long as you're eating to your goal (whatever that may be), it doesn't matter when you eat the calories.2

I do better with a planned late night snack, even if it's something as small as a cheese stick before bed. Telling my body it can't have food is a sure way to make it want food. Telling it that food is coming and I just have to wait a little while seems to calm it down. But if you're not eating because of stomach acid or trouble sleeping, then that might not work for you I suppose.
Another thing I like at night is decaffeinated tea. Something about the warm beverage soothes me and gives me the hand-to-mouth movement that is so hard to break if it's an ingrained habit. I go through a lot of red and peppermint teas.0 -
Yeah, I usually keep back enough for a couple of cups of popcorn or some dry cereal. (90-110).0

If your real problem is late night bingeing, I suggest pre-planning a reasonable evening snack (100-200 calories), and then after eating it brush your teeth or something. This won't address underlying reasons for bingeing such as a binge-eating disorder but could help if you're just eating too much at night out of habit.0

I tried that whole stop eating at 7 thing for forever and could never make it work. I save 200 calories for a night time snack.
I realized I was forcing my self to eat breakfast even though I wasn't hungry, and forcing myself not to eat after dinner when I was. So I dropped breakfast, moved those calories to 10pm and was way better at hitting my goal!4 -
I eat dinner at 10-11pm. Hasn’t hindered me one bit in losing weight.0

I start eating about 10:30 or 11 am ... and I eat lightly until about 6 pm. Then I eat most of my calories between 6 pm and midnight. It works for me!0
