It doesn't matter what one would like to be losing. It's what is humanly possible for a healthy rate of loss for their stats

Yes, I’m more than happy with 4lbs/month. I weigh 128lbs, so any more than that and it wouldn’t be good for my health. Honestly, I’m trying to eat more to slow weight loss. I still have 15 or so pounds to go (and have lost 39 so far).

When I was actively losing, it depended on how much I had to lose. I don't think it's a set number.

Losing 8-10 lbs per month is really only healthy for someone with a lot if weight to lose. Most people will find a healthy and sustainable weight loss at around a lb per week. I only had 15-20 lbs to lose, so I lost around 2 lbs per month, and toward the end even less.

I lost from 225 to 160 in 8 months. I averaged 8 pounds/month. However, it wasn't really that linear. I lost 15 the first month and 10 the second and the final 8 in a four day fight with a stomach bug. (I don't recommend that last, for the record.)

5 pounds a month. But then, I'm a little paranoid about muscle loss when I'm losing.

I lost 10 pounds a month pretty steadily when I was younger. Older now, different goals, different reasons, different tastes, different attitude.
Losing a pound or two a month and smiling all the way.

I lost about 7-8 lbs. per month, for four months (with a period of 3 weeks maintenance in there). My starting weight was 237 and I'm not tall so I wanted to get under 200 ASAP. I started the last week of June of 2017, and now I weigh 202. I had a 1000 calorie deficit up until about 25 lbs. lost, and then I was down to about 1200 calories per day and I couldn't do it. So I'm now losing at 1500 calories per day, which is about 1.2 lbs. per week. I should be losing at 4-5 lbs. per month for the next few months, hopefully. My goal weight is 137 so I'm a little over 1/3 the way there!

I'm very happy with my progress. I'm 52 and put on 60 of those lbs. in the last 6 years (peri-menopause) so I'm excited to get to 170 lbs. by next August!

Of the year I've lost about half a pound a month, but it's been saucer-shaped.

At first I lost 8-10 pounds a month up through the first3-4 months. After that it slowed to about 5 pounds a month for about 5 months, now it’s more like 2 pounds a month. Very very slow now that I am getting closer to goal.

Are you over 100 lbs overweight? That's probably only an appropriate rate of loss if you are. Otherwise, I'm concerned you're starving yourself.

I was pretty big to start and I lost round about 40 pounds in the first 5 months. So that's about 9 pounds a month? Sounds about right.

When I was obese I was losing about 10 pounds a month, when I was overweight it was about seven, and now that I am normal BMI the most recent month was four. I have been eating more as I lost more, so as to slow my rate of loss, but also I exercise more and harder.
