Food Weight Measurements

I am new to using this app. I'm logging all my food. Is there a way to change how you are measuring a food item? For example, if I want to log chicken breast, I can't just log in that I am eating 3 ounces or 100 grams. Is that a feature that comes with the premium edition? I used to use Fatsecret and could switch between the different kinds of measurements. Thank you!

I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you mean you can't log 3 ounces or 100g? I can log either grams or ounces.
There are multiple entries in the foods database - keep in mind it is less reliable than Wikipedia. LOL.
I usually look for entries with "USDA" in the label/name because that means the data comes from the USDA Nutritional Database - the "go to" place for reliable nutrition info. I also try to find entries for solid foods that are in grams or ounces (not "each," "cup," "bowl", "slice" etc...those are extremely subjective measurements.) Then I can adjust accordingly.
For example, if I find "USDA chicken, breast, grilled, 100g" and I am planning on eating 120g of it...I adjust the serving size to 1.2 instead of the default 1. This is why I like using grams for food measurement over ounces - it's much easier to do the math!

The weights and quantities are all changeable, just tap on it on the app. It should be kinda obvious on the site.0

The green checkmarked entries can still be inaccurate. It's best to look for entries that say USDA and double-check it against their database.3 -
It depends on the entry in the database - I log in grams and look for entries that allow grams to be used as a unit. If you look in the database at a food, you'll see under Nutrition Facts a line like:
Servings 1.0 1 oz
The serving size (1 oz in this case) will be a dropdown. For example:
1 oz
28 gram
1 gram
To get a 100 gram serving, you can set Servings to 100 and select 1 gram for serving size, or set Servings to 3.57 and select 28 gram for serving size. I look at the product label to determine number of grams, and will use the bar code scanner to read the data directly from the package when available.
Searching becomes easier over time as MFP learns the foods you frequently use. Also, you can save favorites by clicking on My Foods in the top submenu, locating a food, and saving as a favorite.1 -

This is true - found this out last night, one green checked entry was 70 calories higher than the restaurant nutrition info said - Panera Bread Mediterranean veggie 1/2 sandwich USED to be 290 calories but then they changed the recipe somehow (used a different bread maybe?) and now it's 220 calories for a half sandwich - but MFP still shows 290 as the verified #.0 -
I always go by grams so I search by grams.
Ie, usda chicken g or usda carrot g0 -
