1200 calories a day

Need meal and snack ideas please. I feel like I’m always looking forward to the next meal even after finishing one.

    Lots of veg, fish, etc... My fave snacks right now are carrots with homemade hummus, or homemade beef jerky. Fave meal is a half cup of brown rice mixed with half an avocado, a can of tune, and a touch of soy sauce

    When I first started logging one thing that helped me between meals was drinking tea, cause there are so many flavors and ways you can drink tea, so it gave my mouth and stomach something to stay occupied/distracted with between meals.

    Otherwise try and eat lots of filling and high fiber foods like fruits and veggies so you won't be hungry in between.

    My favorite meal is cauliflower rice with cheese and salsa, kind of like a vegetable burrito bowl haha

    Consider your currrnt weight/goal weight - 1200 cal might indicate too aggressive a goal (2lbs a week loss is common)

    I feel you. I'm around that limit as well and eating healthy meals has me craving for midday snacks. I tend to have mixed nuts within grabbing distance since I can't really think once I'm getting hungry. I try when I can to include starchy foods like beans/yams/potatoes for lunch/dinner to keep me going for longer

    That's because you're hungry. Just because MFP will let you go as low as 1200 calories, that doesn't make it a wise choice nor a sustainable one.
