I travel for work 70+% of the time which makes consistency in everything more difficult - whether it is eating clean, working out, or SLEEP - they all suffer due to being a road warrior. I am rarely in a place for more than 36 hours and my travel often involves fly into a city and then drive 1-2 hours to a rural town. The past 3 years in this job have led to 15 more lbs (which is 15 over my very healthy weight when I was competing in weightlifting and CrossFit). Looking for fellow road warriors for advice and accountability. Ping me if you’re also in need of this support group!

Would love to share support, I’ll send you an add request. When I’m not traveling I’m wfh, which most people think would be the problem... home all day so close to my kitchen, but I actually do very well at home. It’s the 3 hour layovers or late nights alone in hotels that lead me to poor food choices and no energy to hit the random hotel gym.

Completely agree! I do great at home. It's on the road that kills. I grew up with my dad on the road consulting 5-6 days per week 50 weeks per year and I never truly understood why he couldn't stay fit. He has all sorts of health issues now and is the picture of my future if I can't figure it out. Anytime I seek advice it's usually stuff like "pack your meals", "stay at a hotel with a kitchen", etc. My response is always "have you ever tried to bring a few days worth of meals on an airplane when you never check a bag?" Crazy stuff that is completely unrealistic. Glad to know there is someone else out there that understands the struggle!
