I am on the verge of my 30th birthday, no surprise I never imagined being 325 pounds. I never thought I would even be this heavy ever! I let food control my emotions. I can say without a doubt I am an emotional eater, I eat when I am happy, sad, indiffernt, bored, or anxious.
I know all too well that people can go in cycles and then regain all the weight they lost, well I am one of those.
Today is the first day of my journey, my goal was to go to the gym and workout and start this journey. However I noticed I instantly became over whelmed by the idea and found many excuses to put it off. My first excuse was I had to clean my house, then I had to do grocery shopping. So i made a list of all I had to do. It is now 10:30pm and I have not done any of it. I think it also is because I had today off, but right off the gate I have the feeling of failure.
But tomorrow is a whole new day, i can do it!

And believe me, if I have this positive energy even after a failed day you can too!

Ill be writing my experience here as much as I can because maybe my journey might be helpful to others.

You've got this. You need to make YOU a priority. If you struggle with getting to the gym, go for a walk instead. Do counter pushups, do squats while you're cleaning your house... incorporate extra movement into your normal daily activities - that can be as good as or sometimes even better than getting to the gym.

Also - weight loss happens in the kitchen. To lose weight, focus on how you're fueling your body. The gym is for FITNESS. I lost most of my weight by just changing what and how much I was eating. I didn't start exercising at all until I had already lost 30 pounds. You can do it. :flowerforyou:

Wishing you all the best! I too am almost to my 30th not quite where I thought I would be but not in a bad place either. But now more than ever I feel a need to push towards the things I want.
