Just wondering if anyone else is having to follow a low phosphate and low potassium renal diet and trying to lose weight? If so, how are you managing?

I had to last year. I started eating meat again, because they were really pushing protein and salt on me, but wanted my potassium and phosphates low. It was also strange to go from whole grains to refined pastas and rice! I've been off dialysis for a while now, but I think weight loss should be possible. Do keep in mind bloating and fluid retention if you need dialysis, and specific nutritional needs and health goals. Do you have a dietician on your health team?
How long have you been on? Have you had issues with low sodium and albumin?
PS. Roasted red peppers with a teensy bit of tomato makes a lovely pasta sauce that's lower phosphorous!1 -
I am following one. I am also looking for support here. I had a warning to eat low potassium foids.0
