Rip60 or TRX to supplement at home

I am looking at adding something to do at home to supplement my gym time. I am at an age where heavy lifting just isn't for me anymore. I just got moved to a rotating day/night shift (rotates each month) so I am finding it harder and harder to get to the gym regularly until I can get some sort of normalcy back. I am working more on weight loss, have lost 38 lbs since August (put 12 of it back on in December when I got moved to the rotating shifts). Anyway, I am thinking of getting either a Rip60 or TRX system for home use. I don't have much room but did do P90X for a while several years back and really enjoyed it and saw results. Now that these have been out for a while, I was wondering what is the general opinion?

I love suspension trainers. Personally I don't like the single point attachment of the standard TRX. To me it limits my movements when doing push ups and some other exercises. If you don't need the door mount and can mount the trainer on a couple hooks in your ceiling or over a pull up bar separate straps are my preferce.1

thanks, I can anchor to the ceiling, I will have to look into some of those too0

I'm a big fan of suspension training (I have basic gymnastics rings at home, but use TRX at the gym) and recommend them to anyone looking for a low cost, small space, effective option for strength training. As long as there is reasonable adjustment with the traps, I don't think brand matters all that much. Having 2 independent straps will give you a bit more flexibility (as mentioned above), but single-point attachment systems are more than adequate.0
