Before my workout...

What should I eat before my workout to burn off as much fat as possible?

  • Some people have a protein shake or scrambled egg whites or omelet.both work great!

    Carbs before your workout gives energy and protein after is good for your muscles.

    I usually eat a carb/protein combo before a good workout and then protein after for the muscles to repair properly...
  • A protein shake is great before and after a workout. I just read an article today that stated the first 20-minutes of your workout consists of burning all of the carbohydrates we eat, after which we start burning fat. Although, we need carbohydrates for energy....a protein shake will have just enough carbs to carry you through your workout. I hope this helps!
  • Today I had 2 scrambled eggs and a piece of buttered toast. It was good and got me through my 1 hour gym sesh before work.
