Hi All
I am new to MFP and will start logging from today. I am an emotional eater and have a history of yo-yo dieting. However, I am now motivated to make lifestyle changes, particularly regarding diet and would like to share my journey with those in a similar situation so that we may support and encourage each other.
Please see my stats below.
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Current Weight: 188.2 lbs (85.4 kg)
Goal Weight: 126 lbs (57.2 kg)
Weight to Lose: 62.2 lbs (28.2 kg)
I have set my goal to lose 1 lbs per week to begin with, which means that my calorie goal is 1,400 kcal per day. I will review this each week and may reduce this to 1,200 kcal per day to achieve 2 lbs weight loss per week depending on my progress.
Please add me and join me on this journey!

Welcome,
I think these two links are extremely helpful and can help you get the most out of MFP:
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These two posts completely changed my MFP experience and helped me be much more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.
For more friends you should check out these threads which ended up gaining alot of traction.
