Losing weight without drinking enough water??

So because of some brain damage, i have a neurogenic bladder. Im waiting to have more test done with my urologist to figure out the best way to go. But he said to limit water intake but didnt specify how much.
Well all ive been drinking everyday is one 8oz glass of milk in the morning and one 16.9oz bottle of water and one 8oz cup of tea. Thats it.
My urine color is kind of dark and smells horrible.
Ill be talking to my urologist about this when i see him next week. Anyway, when im on a limited fluid intake and a diruetic, can i still lose weight??

of course you can. i would of course, speak to your medical team first to get the okay for anything you want to do.

Water doesn't have anything to do with weight loss or weight management...from a health standpoint, it is good to maintain hydration which is why some people track water...but it has nothing to do with losing weight.2

I would definitely have the urologist define what limited water intake means. because you're not drinking enough.... and if you're on a diuretic, you should be increasing not decreasing your drinking.

You can still lose weight but more importantly you need to get clear hydration guidelines from doc. Too little water can be dangerous too. In fact you might consider calling them today.
The main point of drinking water for weight loss is that it helps feelings of fullness. Also, Many people mistake thirst for hunger and eat more.3 -
Thanks guys! I always thought you had to increase your water significantly to lose weight because if not your body will just hold onto it and make you retain water. But i guess not. So thank you!!0
