Anyone doing slimming world? Help, not sure what to do

I thought I would give slimming world a go... I’ve put on 9 lbs over the last few months. I started slimming world yesterday and I’ve put on 1 pound a half!! I followed the plan properly, had 13 syns allowed out of 15 and went for a four mile run... now I’m scared to carry on with it. With calorie counting if I followed it properly I didn’t gain...
I’m 5’6, now weighing 11 stone 5 1/14 and want to get to 10 stone 3. Does anyone else do it? Should I carry on or go back to calorie counting

Ask for a refund and go back to calorie counting.
Though if you were used to calorie counting, you shouldn't freak out at 1-2 lb daily fluctuations.
Kind regards.

its doubtful that you ate 5000 cals over maintenance on one day of slimming world, isn't it?3 -
Go back to calorie counting. SW doesn't teach you anything about portion control, it's very carb heavy and all those 'free' foods still have a calorie value and therefore it's extremely easy to eat more than your calorie allowance plus those 'syns' and not actually realise it. I was a yoyo SW member for over a decade and lost, regained etc all the time. Their whole business model relies on you failing. Go back to logging and make those calories go as far as possible, least you can eat what you want and not feel guilty!0

I think I’m gonna do calorie counting. I added up my calories throughout the day yesterday and it worked out without even eating the healthy extra b which you’re supposed to have every day and some syns I had left over I had met my calorie goal so if I did have those extras I would have gone over...1
