Can anyone tell me if one is meant to eat the exercise calories earned as I've been told yes and no. Seeing as I have 2-3 stone to lose I want to get this right. I do a lot of exercise which means some days I could eat almost double my designated calorie count.

If you have set up with MFP then the yes since that's how their formula works, however you don't have to and typically I would only recommend eating back 1/4-1/2 since machines and HRM can be off.0

Thank you very much, cathipa. I've earned over 1200 exercises today and my food allowance is 1350 so it's a lot more to eat on top of what I want.0

1200 calories for just exercise? What were you doing? Chances are this is not correct since it would be the equivalent of several hours of moderate-intense activity.0

I typically get 1000+ calories for a 2 hour run, so 1200 is not out of line. I only eat back 1/4 of those, though.0

If you're working out that hard, eating at you base metabolic rate (BMR) should give you tremendous results. I'm guessing your BMR is your aforementioned 1350 kCal? Anyways, best of luck. Sounds like you have the exercise part down.0

I know it's right as I have a counter. I walk for at least two hours a day and use the exercise bike for at least 30 minutes. I don't dawdle on either.0
