weekend weight management

Hi! First time poster, here!
I was wondering if anyone has any tips to share on how you stay on track food/calorie wise on the weekends?
It seems the 1-2 pounds I lose during the week come right back on in one gluttonous weekend.
I realize this is mostly self-discipline, on my part, and that I shouldn't 'reward' myself by eating whatever I want just because I ate well during the week.
Any little tips my way would be appreciated!
Thanks!

try to stay on sched. starting with a good breakfast0

I try to eat very little calories during the day so by the time it's the evening I have a little wiggle room. Watch out for snacks, those are sneaky lil devils haha. And just remmeber all the hard work you did all week and reward yourself by continuing and not letting it all go to waste! Always keep your goals in mind. "Swimsuit " is a good one to keep in your head0

schedule out your weekend, look up nutrition facts for places you may eat out at, and portion control will be your best friend...
If you find yourself a huge snacker during the weekend, stock up with the healthier snack options and rid your place of the bad. This way you only have a few options infront of you.
Alway, stay hydrated all weekend.0 -

This.
Treat the weekend like any other day. Just because they both start with the letter S, doesn't make them special. I could do the same amount of damage on any day of the week.0 -
I always have my "weigh in" scheduled for Monday morning, mentally that keeps me motivated to stay good through the weekend.
Good luck!0 -
Fortunately for me, weekends are when I have the most time to excercise, so if I want to eat 600 more calories worth of food, then I burn them off first.0

^^ Exactly what I do, every day actually. I try to keep my breakfast, lunch, and snacking to fruits and veggies then have a nice dinner0 -

Basically it's not really rocket sience, If you do lots of excercise on Saturday/Sunday you should burn off lots of calories. A bit of gardening, clean the car, clean the house or even go for a good walk, that way you will have lots of spare calories to eat back and still be inside your goal. Failing that, if you are really serious about losing weight stick to your calorie count it's a lifestyle change that is required and not just a quick fix0 -
Struggle a bit with this myself. I try to make sure I get good exercise in and a good breakfast as well. Really focusing on how much alchohol I am drinking...0

Thanks, all!
I like the thought of treating the weekend just like any other day.
And, thanks, catwrangler, for reminding me that I need to get off the computer and outside for a run!
Have a great weekend!0 -

This is a great answer you do not get anything for nothing0 -
I don't treat the weekends any differently than any other day. I'm not on a Mon-Fri "diet", I eat this way all the time! Just 500 calories less than usual, while I try to lose weight.0
