I am in the same boat! I currently weigh 177, wanting to get to 145-150! I am also 5'4". What is everyone's macros set at? MFP is saying I need to eat 1200 cals a day, with 50% (150g) Carbs, 30% (40g) Fat, 20% (60g) Protein. I don't feel I should eat that many carbs and need to eat more protein, thoughts?

You can adjust your macros so you have more protein and lower carbs if you like. might help you to feel full and maintain lean muscle. Good luck!

I want to lose 40 pounds!
I've been using MFP off and on for a couple years, but this week is the first week I've really stuck to my allotted daily calories. I've cut out beer this week (I'm a huge craft beer fan) and I'm getting better sleep. 3 pounds lost so far this week! I'm sure the progress will slow a bit in the coming weeks, but my goal is to lose at least 40 pounds. I'm 5'3", so a healthy BMI would a little less than 150, but I think it's a good goal to start with. Add me if you'd like :)

I went in for my "wellness visit and to my surprise. i was not well. 5'4" 207. The whole time i was there my md talked about MFP. i was very annoyed when i got out of there. after 3 days I wondered what all the fuss was about and began to log and committed to trying it for a month (I have to return to MD in a month for another Issue) It has been 2 weeks and I have not wavered and to my surprise: Down 10 lbs, my bad knee doesnt hurt anymore and i have more energy!! I too need to lose, but more like 57 lbs. 150 here we come.

I just started yesterday. Current weight 175 would like to be 135. Highest weight was 186. My biggest issue is I drink about 2 liters of soda a day. Totally addicted. Weaning myself off - going cold turkey would be a nightmare. Looking for support and to give support as well.

I am the same! Around 190 now but want to get to 150. I am hoping to lose slowly and really transform my general lifestyle this time around though. I've lost and gained too many times and I need this to be an internal transformation as much as an external one...

I am 5’5” and currently 188 and would like to be 150.
I feel frustrated as I have been here before - I went from 185-150 about 6 years ago using MFP but then failed to maintain and put even more back on.
I know the system works, but it takes time and commitment, but I worry about failing again.
