Skipping does not make me feel joy.5

It would bore the life out of me.
You really need to find things you enjoy.0 -
nope, it's punishing.
. but. effective0 -
Yes, I feel joy when skipping rope. I love it.1 -
No, because I constantly trip on the rope and have to stop. I do better just jumping and turning my arms without the rope. I have a lot more fun doing cardio video workouts with fun music/routines1

I don’t think I’ve skipped rope in like 15 years0

This is my experience w/jumping (or skipping) rope too.
I've had a jump rope hanging unused in my garage gym for years. The second or 2 of "exercise" that I can get using it isn't worth the effort.
Like you, I'd be better off just jumping up and down in place pretending that I'm actually jumping (o skipping) rope.
LOL!

if you can get used to it, is quite a good workout. quite commonly used in martial arts training, typically 15 to 20 mins as warm up. I prefer that over running. You could do that at home too and watch TV while skipping in case you get bored.0

Can be hard on the joints if you don't have the right surface.1
