Don't get discouraged

After a workout, have you ever felt that you didn't do enough sets? Or have you ever felt that you didn't run enough minutes on the treadmill? Or lifting enough weights? Just now I did a workout via Facebook, and while the routine was really good, I felt like I didn't do enough. So my question is have any of you felt that after a workout you could have done more?

Sure. But I run programs with an end goal (strength). And reaching that end goal doesn't necessarily mean maxing out every training session. As long as I understand my purpose and my goal, and I complete what I should for the day. I'm good. It's when I can't complete what is expected that day when I get a little frustrated.0

a bad workout is better than no workout.
thats what i tell myself if i felt i took it too easy or couldnt get into it.0 -
Some of my workouts are harder than others. If your workout was too easy maybe choose something a little more intense.0

I know what you mean. I just resumed working out this week. I push hard on short sets then rest & push again. At the end, my super athletic teen son scolded me for not cooling down which resulted in foot cramps. Any ideas for a mild cool down when you are already depleted? Keep in mind, I'm hitting 50 & not in any type of shape right now. I can only do a 5 second plank-the day before, 0 second plank! (Progress...lol)0
