Hi

My name is Jason (38) I live in Bolton (UK) originally from South Africa and I have been YoYoing since I can remember, I currently weigh more than I ever have before and it scared me to the point of developing a panic disorder. Long story short time to kick this thing in the *kitten* once and for all, no quick fixed, no fad diets a real lifestyle change.

I will be logging in daily and weighing in monthly, would love to meet a some peeps on the same journey for mutual support.

    Hey Jason!

I am 43 and in the UK from Zimbabwe...I too am a yo-yo-er (history of EDs added in there)...This year I want to lose some more fat and maintain my weight. I am aiming for around July for goal, but the long term, long haul thing is maintenance. I also want to compete in my first powerlifting competition this year. Building some more muscle at the moment and eating more calories, but going back to a deficit in 3 weeks-ish...

    Hi Jason,
I too am looking for support & actively posting daily. This time I am in it. I don't look good or feel good when I'm not taking care of myself. Accountability I have found, is key to success & being amongst other like minded people.I related to your post & looking for more MFP friends.

Also in the UK, this is my second time round and feel disappointed that I let myself slip into old ways and gain back the weight that I lost (2 and a half stone) This year is our year

Remember obesity does not happen overnight. Neither will weight loss. If you view this as a hop on hop off weight loss merry go round you will be doomed!
This is forever because obesity is a disorder. You will have to be ahead of it for the rest of your life so hop on and enjoy the ride because it will have to be your life even thru maintenance.
There is NO okay I'm done it's just part of who you are developing to be starting at this point.
