Im looking for a recipe for a low cal brownie. The only one I know of is in Rocco DeSperino (sp?) book, but it has cappacino in it. I don't know that I could even taste it knowing that is in there. Let alone buy it. Yuck.

so anyone have one they would like to share? Im big on brownies and been craving them

Buy a package of brownie mix and mix in a can of diet coke. Bake as directed. They're not bad at all.

There's also one where you buy brownie mix and add black beans (pureed). I haven't tried them yet, but I want to!

Try making black bean brownies. they sound weird but i am here to tell u they are so good. i fed them to a bunch of my friends they had no clue. you take one box of any brownie mix and one can of black beans (they stink). Rinse the beans super good, put them back in the can and fill with water to cover, then throw them in a blender or food processer and make a paste/liquid. Mix that with the brownie mix and bake as directed ( no oil no egg) just the mix and the beans. depending on the mix they can be pretty low cal and taste amazing
  • Diet coke, really? I gotta try me some of those bad boys!

Pillsbury makes a brownie mini mix that has 2 packs of 6 mini brownies (tray included). I just got one because they were on clearance the other day and tried them earlier today..very tasty. Its 150 calories for two brownies.

Why the Diet coke? We don't do "diet" drinks because of the aspertame.

I forgot about black beans. I will have to try them and not let the kids see tho. lol

I have made these before - some of my friends really liked them (I thoroughly enjoyed them, though admittedly the frosting is nothing short of indulgent.

My hubby wasn't a big fan, said the texture was off, but then, he didn't try eating them until like 3 days later. they are very good fresh. Give them a shot!

Do a search in the recipe section here for Jillian Michaels' fudge brownies. They're made with whole wheat flour, and only sweetened with applesauce and honey. They're delicious! And they're lower in calories than package mix brownies, although all brownies will be a little indulgent. Enjoy!
