Trying to stop the gains! Support needed

Hi everyone
I am not a new member but I am starting my calorie counting journey from scratch today.
I have been derailed in the past by other diets that have resulted in me not being able to maintain them and gaining more weight.
This needs to stop. I am following the simple calorie counting - logging food in and out - no cutting of food groups or restricting myself. I know that doesn’t work for me and triggers me to binge.
I have 90lbs to lose and looking for friends for support, you don’t have to have the same amount to lose or be in the same country but be able to support each other daily whilst using this app. Losing weight is hard enough, must be easier with other people getting your back!
Thanks

Hi kirsty,
I am sending you a friend request. I have been logging for 5 years, and have kept 45 pounds off, ( lost 12 pounds before finding this site). Consistency in logging every day is the most important aspect. My diary is open. (Don't look at yesterday). I too have tried fad diets and virtually any quick weight loss diet out there. The truth is permanent weight loss takes effort and time, sadly, but it is worth it.
You can do it! I work off shifts and it is really hard not to eat a lot of carbs when tired....a never ending battle. I never thought that I can lose and keep it off. I still have those last pesky 10 pounds to lose.2 -
Hey there! I’m back on MFP too. I started 6 years ago and did lose a lot of weight but have gained some back. Started my journey again a week ago. I do so much better when I plan/track my meals.
I am doing the keto diet right now but would still love to connect and to keep each other motivated!1 -
Brilliant thank you both0
