Hi from Fairbanks, AK

I have spent the last decade gaining 10 pounds a year or more because of having thyroid slowed down, and being oral steroids for breathing. I began to despair ever to stop seeing the scale move upward.
After becoming 3 people I last year finally was put on a new drug that I get a shot for once a month to control my severe asthma symptoms that are related to allergies.
My doctor recently put me on to MyFitnessPal 20 days ago. I have checked in for 20 days and the simple act of being aware of the calorie intake has cause a huge change in my diet and weight goals.

I have lost 12 pounds!!!!! I have 90 some more to go, but I have hope, and I LOVE this app.

I'm new here too. Trying to learn my way around the site. Like you, I've struggled with my weight for a long time. Logging my food definitely makes me more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. Weaning off sugar has been a trip. Lol. Looking to lose 60 pounds. I'm Debi from Missouri by the way.
