I know I didn't gain 8 pounds of fat in 2 days of eating bad

So yeah, I drank and ate a lot Thursday night at a party, and last night I ate nothing but part of a rice crispie treat cake, egg rolls, and pretzels when over at a friend's. I know I've gained fat from this because it was a large amount of calories over my maintenance, but nowhere near 28,000 worth.
I know alcohol can screw with lipid hydrolysis and also cause you to retain water as well, so I'm wondering what else I can do, if anything, to get rid of the false part of this gain by weigh-in on Monday besides just drinking a ton of water and eating clean.

Don't get down about 2 imperfect eating days and 8 pounds. You have done so well. 140 pounds! OMG! I think you are on the right track by drinking water and eating clean the rest of the weekend. Maybe add an extra workout if you feel like you need to make an extra effort. Stay positive and let us know how Monday's weigh-in goes. I'm sure you will do fine. :happy:0

This is honestly why I never weigh in on monday because on the weekends my eating gets lax and then I'm always up a pound or two or five come monday.
I personally would just keep drinking the water and wait until the end of the week to weigh in... it will prob. be more accurate then.0 -
You've come such a long ways, I wouldn't worry about it. You know it isn't fat and a weigh in is just a number unless you're on The Biggest Loser of course. Awesome job so far, keep it up.0

Watch your sodium closely the next few days. Drink water. Eat asparagus (it is a natural diuretic and always helps me when I'm retaining tons of water).
As a rule, two days of "bad" eating won't undo everything you've accomplished. And as you said, you'd have to eat 28,000 extra calories to truly gain that weight.0 -
yeah I would stay away from things like diet soda and salt stuff so you aren't bloated come Monday. I think alcohol can really make someone balloon up. I ate a ton of popcorn and three pizzas last night and still lost .02 of a lb. A couple days means nothing. You will get your weight back down knowing you!0

Honestly, I'd skip a weigh-in this week.0

Can't. I'm in the August challenge. I'll just try to prepare myself and know it isn't all a true gain.0 -
it was a bad weekend, a speed bump. honestly 140 down, you're pretty much my hero. you have some choices - skip the weigh in b/c you know it's going to be a false reading; see how much you can flush before then and add some work outs; or just take the knock and keep on rolling.
seriously, you rock for what you've done! this was a bad weekend, they happen.0 -
+3500 calories = 1 pound. So yes, it's possible that you gained 2 pounds, but 2 pounds of fat would be very doubtful! Could just be that the food has not let your system yet though and even more likely that it's partly water weight, especially if your sodium intake was higher than normal.0

I think that Schwig should weigh in because it's a great reminder of what high alcohol consumption can do to your body. That is, throw it out of wack. Never a bad thing because alcohol is good on a rare occasion but definitely a good reminder. This website is actually what has helped me tone it down when I drink. I used to go 3+ once in awhile and now I'm 1-2 on the blue moon that I do drink! Teaches moderation.0

And I doubt you did as bad as you think eating.... Your stomach has shrunk and you just can't possibly eat that much! You just felt full but remember full now is slot different than full 140 lbs ago! It's most likely water weight and I'm sure you will see it all disappear soon! Keep up the good work!0
