5 stone to lose before 30!!!

Hi everyone
Is it too late to say happy new year?!
I’m Lydia, I’m 28 and overweight.
Ive tried every diet going! I find I’m ok for a while but get bored at the point I feel like the ‘diet’ is completely taking over my life. The longest I’ve stuck to a plan is 3 months, which was at slimming world. I gave up with that in December 2017 after losing only 10lbs in 3 months. I personally think the unlimited amount of potatoes, rice and pasta just doesn’t work for me!
I lost a lot of weight in 2014, I was at my heaviest of 17 stone. I got in a new relationship, and because I was so happy and had a lifestyle change I found my eating habits got better and I was more active. I lost nearly 4 stone!
Of course as time has gone on Ive got comfortable, the take aways have become more often and the exercise is almost non existent. In 2016 I had a gall bladder operation, and I broke my leg and ankle which meant 3 months of no walking or exercise.
I’m back at my heaviest now and I know I need a huge wake up call.
I don’t want to be on a faddy diet or a ridiculous exercise routine. I just want to start eating healthily again, get my portions under control and start exercising even if it’s only for 15 minutes a day.
I have set myself small goals, but my ultimate goal is to lose 5 stone before I’m 30. So that gives me 21 months to change my lifestyle and maintain it. I think this is realistic?
I want to go into the next decade at a healthy weight and a more active lifestyle.
My biggest motivation is that I do eventually want a child, and being at the weight I’m at, I just don’t think my body could cope.
Sorry for the lengthy post!
I would like to speak to anyone who has been or is in a similar situation. I will post regular updates!
Here’s to a healthier more positive 2018.
Happy Sunday x

love the small goals... I cut out certain foods slowly, and substituted better options over the last 5 months. it's not a perfect science as I'm constantly craving something to munch on and I'm terrible at portion control... but I've been able to drop 20lb or so in that time. logging each day, and I have an open diary1

Yes it's definitely doable.
Eat food you like in portions that fit your calories and macros.
Eat some fruit and veg.
Find some exercise you enjoy.0 -
Hi lyds. I have just joined also. What does stone mean? I had a hard time posting my food but I did it. The more posting the better. It also helps me to think of all of you and our food postings.0
