Fitbit VS entering exercise

Hello,
If my fitbit is counting my steps should I still add any exercise that I do on to my fitness pal? Will that end up being double the exercise?

No, don't enter the exercise if your fitbit is linked to your MFP account. Yes, that would be doubling. If not linked, the answer changes.0

Well, fitbit is a bit complicated when used with Myfitnesspal.

Yea, I don’t add my exercises to my fitness pal cuz it messes with everything. It sucks but I need it to be as accurate as possible.1

I use a Garmin Fenix 5X. But I enter exercise manually. I prefer the lower numbers MFP algorithms calculate.
And I only enter deliberate exercise. Not steps or what my Fenix says I burned through the day.0 -
