Why

I have been eating a reduced calorie diet for 2 weeks now. Why have I not dropped any weight? That alone should be doing something, right?

    Are you weighing and measuring all of your food? All of your liquids?

    It is possible you are eating more than you think you are. Have you been eating high sodium foods? Lots of prepackaged foods? Start a new workout routine? Are you using measuring cups for all liquids and a food scale for anything other than liquids? Are you actually logging everything (that bit of cream in coffee, oil used in a pan, butter, etc)?

    Do you log every single thing you eat?

    If so, are you sure what you are logging is 100% accurate? (or as close to it as possible)

    Are you weighing yourself at the same time of day, on the same scale, in the same location, wearing the same clothing, etc? (I weigh myself FIRST THING in the morning after I get up, after I go to the bathroom, before eating or drinking anything, and usually either in my underwear or underwear and a t-shirt)

    OP: Did you tell the app your stats? Are you sure you're eating the amount of calories allotted. Are you weighing yourself at the same time each time? And, finally, when you say you haven't "dropped any weight", do you mean the scale has not gone down *at all* (and you're not ovulating or premenstrual if you're a woman).

    It's such a short amount of time, MANY things could mask a 1-2LB weight loss. Heck, even a sushi dinner.

    Its only been 2 weeks. If you are weighing your food using a food scale, your logging efforts are on point every day you are in a calorie deficit regardless of fluctuations due to water weight.

    Give it more time.

    Stick with it. If no weight loss after a month then you are in maintenance (yay!) but will either need to cut some calories or tighten up how you’re weighing foods and determining calories. I saw a video on here that someone posted about weighing versus using a measuring cup. Lots of room for error with dry foods and a cup. I switched to measuring, and in grams, after that. I’m at 1200 Cal plus exercise (lots of room for error with exercise calories too so I eat back half). I have very little wiggle room so a few grams here and there can stop my weight loss, especially of calorie dense foods.
