Hi, my name is Cindy. I suffer with ,mental illness and am therefore on a
Lot of medications. I have talked to my Dr about weight gain, and was told, it is your medication. Try exercising more. I also have I B S and Diverticular Disease. I suffer with loose bowel movements and as soon as I start walking, or exercising I need to make a dash for the loo, so I find it very restricting. I find it difficult to be around people I don't know and feel trapped. 1. HOW DO I WORK OUT THE CALORIFIC VALUE OF MEDICATIONS?
2. WOULD THAI CHI HELP?
I have to restrict fibre intake and find bread is definitely a no no.
I look forward to speaking to people who have similar problems and find out how they are/have dealt with it.

I don't have those specific problems, but I know this - medications have no calorific value (or it is neglible, like if the tablet is sugar coated or lactose is used as a filler). You gain weight (if you mean fat) as a result of consistently eating more calories than you burn. To lose weight, you'd have to reduce your calorie intake. Any increase of activity would add to a calorie deficit.1

Any and all of the northern arts like Tai chi are centered around your overall well being. The problem is finding the right teacher as these art forms have not been greatly exported to most countries.0
