Hi guys,
i'm new here, just wondering if swapping foods for other options is really a big improvement to weight loss....Example, i've swapped regular sugar for low gi cane sugar....is swapping full dairy milk to soy or low fat really that beneficial?...wat about changing from whites to browns? eg, breads, pastas, rice?
Also, if there's anyone that would like to be a support buddy for me, i'd love that :bigsmile:

I have noticed that the milk will help some. The sugar could. It depends on your taste if you like the brown yes it is good. I did not care for the brown pasta's. I have been on Weight Watchers a few times and have learned a lot from there. Just watch your sugar and carb intake and make sure you get exercise in there!. I hope this will help a little.0

Weekends are slow on this site.... But, yes,absolutely brown is better than white because it has more of the nutrients your body is looking for, therefore you will feel more satisfied. I would definitely swap out cows milk for almond milk, or rice milk, or even soy milk because cows milk has antibiotics and puss, yes, cow puss, in it. Blech! You can add me as a friend. I like to eat vegetables and fruits and whole grains.0

I'm not sure there is a simple answer. There are as many different diets and lifestyles out there as people. Even if you do pick a diet like Paleo or Atkins, you'll find differing opinions and practices among the people doing the diets, too. Personally, I think swapping the milk for soy would be a good idea (though since I'm doing Paleo, I'm drinking almond milk and coconut milk). As far the the sugar goes, I would go with Stevia or something like that if you can't eliminate the sugar all together. Of course, these are just my opinions. There are a series of diet books out there called "Eat this Not That" which might answer more of your questions. Best of luck!0

Switching from refined anything to food in a more natural state is always a good idea. The more fresh, raw product you eat, the better off you are in the long run for overall good health and optimal weight.
