Anyone have their gallbladder removed?

I had my gallbladder removed a little over a year ago and have heard good stories and horror stories about weight gain/loss. I honestly have been stuck exactly where I am for the past year. I mean, I'll fluctuate 10lbs here and there [ ] but nor really seeing a difference either way.
I know when I eat unhealthy, I regret it later that day/night but that's about it. Has anyone noticed certain things help with weight loss when you don't have a gallbladder?

I have not had any issues thus far with weight loss. Since the first of the year I've lost about 20lbs. The only thing I noticed about not having the gallbladder is what you already mentioned about regretting eating poorly.0

hello,
I had my gallbladder removed 20 yrs ago. I never had side affects of not having a gallbladder other than not being able to eat alot of spicy food.0 -
Hi I had mine out a few months ago! If you read the about me on my profile really sum's it all up! But for me I think water and exercise is what is helping me right now. I've heard good & bad stories too! I kinda thought in my head after surgery it would all go away and I'd be back to normal..... Well that didn't happen so I started the exercise & water! Good luck:)0

I had mine removed about 9 years ago. No problems other than regretting if I eat fatty foods.0

Thanks everyone! It's good to know I'm not alone out here!
Honestly, I was kinda like ammient3. I was really sorta hoping, the pounds would melt away. lol Silly, I know but still hoped. I've been drinking water like crazy lately trying to stay away from the hubby's soda. I give in every now and then and get an iced coffee though. :0) That sorta kills me too but sometimes it's oh-so-worth-it.0 -
I had mine removed when I was 17, so 3 years ago. I gained a lot after I had it removed, mainly because I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism not long after...but no problems with weight loss so far! I do regret eating certain foods though.0

I had mine removed in February of this year. Had it taken out on a Friday, was back to work on Monday. And back to normal about 1-2 weeks later. I have noticed zero side effects to having it gone. I have changed my lifestyle a lot and eating habbits since surgery. I am down about 70 pounds from my surgery weight, so I haven't had any trouble losing weight without a gallbladder. I don't get any side effects when I eat fatty foods like pizza or a cheeseburger (although those meals a few and far between)0
